Full Replacement Options

Depending on the slope of your roof, there are various systems available for your commercial roof replacement. The decking and underroof support are the same regardless of roof style, so only the systems are different.

Flat or Low-Slope

A flat or low-slope roof is one with a drop of less than 2:12, or less than 2 inches of vertical drop for every foot of horizontal roof. Though not truly “flat,” they are best known by that term.

Flat roofs have so many potential roofing system options, we will simply discuss the most common in Arizona.

  • Spray Foam. A spray foam system is applied directly to the decking of your new roof. The foam expands up to 30% of volume, creating a lightweight, watertight finish. We recommend a highly reflective topcoat to seal the foam and protect it from damage, while also enhancing the energy performance.
  • Single Ply Membrane – Whether you choose TPO, PVC, or EPDM, a single ply membrane system is rolled across your decking, then attached. We then heat-weld the seams. A topcoat can be added to improve waterproofing and provide a longer lifespan.

Peaked or High-Slope

A roof with a slope greater than 2:12 is a peaked or high-slope roof. They are quite common in residential roofing, or in areas receiving substantial amounts of water or snowfall.

A high-slope roof has different demands than a low-slope, so the roofing systems are different.

  • Metal – Metal is an excellent high-slope roofing system. Due to its strength and durability, it can last 50+ years with proper maintenance, even in the harsh Arizona heat. To extend life even longer, or to control rust issues, a coating may be applied.
  • Shingles – The number 1 roofing system in America for a good reason, asphalt shingles are cost-effective and provide exceptional protection when well maintained.
