If you are reading this, HIRE GRIT!
We called GRIT Commercial Roofing after a severe storm with 73mph winds tore off 25% of our 2-story commercial building roof sending it flying off in pieces all over our parking lot. I happened to speak directly with Mike, the owner, as he answered the phone when I called. I love the dedication of owners who are willing to work hard in the day-to-day operations, the same ways their employees do.
After doing appropriate research and obtaining multiple quotes, I hired GRIT for several reasons:
- They were able to come out and quote us the next day;
- GRIT’s price was very reasonable as compared to other commercial roofers who quoted us;
- GRIT did NOT ask “how much is the insurance giving you?” and didn’t ask to talk directly to my insurance company trying to base their quote on getting every penny they could. It was a legit fair quote and price.
- GRIT works from a place of integrity. Other roofers added on unnecessary things to pad their estimates like electrical and HVAC work and pricing for replacing skylights (that were not damaged BTW), whereas GRIT only quoted what we actually needed–the roof. GRIT worked around and under the electrical and HVAC on our roof so that we didn’t have halt our production and lose time and money for power shutoffs;
- GRIT’s prices were so great that we were able to afford to have them also put a new roof on our single-store office building as well as the taller damaged shop building;
- GRIT was able to get the work started within a couple days of approving the estimate.
- Their energy-efficient, reflective coating is going to save me a ton of money on my electrical bill, as it will keep my whole shop and office buildings cooler in the AZ heat.
- GRIT offered a full 15-year warranty on the roof where some other warranties were as short as just 5 years.
They got right to work! GRIT immediately secured the remainder of the roof and was able to make sure the damaged area was waterproof, in the event of more storms and rain. Once the preparation and then application processes were started, they continually sent me update photos and videos of the various steps and were in constant communication with me as to what was being done and the time frames moving forward (this was especially helpful as we did have more rain that paused the work several times.) They even worked on a Sunday because it was going to rain on the Monday after. I was so impressed by that!
They did a great job and I am so pleased. I highly recommend GRIT Commercial Roofing. We will definitely be using them again at other addresses, we’ve already had Mike evaluate the roof on another commercial building we are considering buying. They did the roof inspection for me right away.
